Publication Ethics
Journal of Interdisciplinary Women’s Studies
The Journal of Interdisciplinary Women’s Studies, as a committed scientific platform, aims to produce and disseminate original knowledge in the field of women’s studies from an interdisciplinary perspective. The journal is dedicated to adhering to professional publishing ethics and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as well as regulations of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. The journal upholds the following principles:
1. Honesty and Scientific Integrity
All submitted articles must result from original research, without data falsification, fabricated results, plagiarism, or duplicate publication. Authors are required to present their scientific findings with complete honesty.
2. Respecting Authors’ Rights and Contributions
All individuals who have made a significant scientific contribution to the article must be listed as authors. The corresponding author bears full responsibility for the content of the article and the order of authorship.
3. Confidentiality and Impartiality in Peer Review
The peer review process is conducted confidentially and in a double-blind manner. Reviewers must maintain impartiality, fairness, scientific accuracy, and full confidentiality regarding the manuscript.
4. Prohibition of Reviewers Using AI Tools
Reviewers are strictly prohibited from using artificial intelligence tools for reviewing, analyzing, or generating content related to the evaluation of manuscripts. Reviews must be conducted manually, accurately, and based on scientific expertise to ensure the integrity and validity of the evaluation.
5. Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board
The editor-in-chief and editorial board members are responsible for overseeing a fair and scientific review process and preventing any conflicts of interest or scientific bias. Final decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts are based solely on scientific merit.
6. Declaration and Prevention of Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editorial board members must declare any financial, organizational, or personal relationships that may lead to a conflict of interest during the evaluation process.
7. Handling Research Misconduct
In cases of observed or reported misconduct, such as plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, or simultaneous submission to other journals, the editorial board will address the matter in accordance with COPE guidelines and legal regulations.
8. Adherence to Research Ethics Principles
For studies involving human participants, obtaining ethics committee approval and informed consent from participants is mandatory.
9. Important Note Regarding Research Ethics Codes
Articles in which data are directly collected from individuals (e.g., questionnaires, interviews, or other human data collection methods), even if conducted without intervention, must have an ethics approval or code from the relevant university or institutional ethics committee. Without an ethics code, the manuscript will not enter the peer review process. The ethics code must be included in the manuscript, and a copy of the approval must be submitted.
📝 To safeguard scientific and ethical standards, the Journal of Interdisciplinary Women’s Studies checks all manuscripts using plagiarism detection systems and does not accept articles that violate research ethics.
