Investigating the evolution of gender stereotypes with the mediating role of education in women (an intergenerational cultural study)

Abstract :
Sexual health is a physical, emotional, mental and social condition related to sex and sexual affairs. It is necessary to have a positive approach towards sex, relationship and sexual behavior, discrimination and violence in order to ensure sexual health. Human sexual behavior is affected by his knowledge and attitude towards gender and sexual issues. People's thoughts, attitudes, and values are important sources of sexual response. The purpose of this research was to investigate the evolution of sexual stereotypes during the past 5 decades and to study the effect of education on the amount of women's sexual stereotypes during the past 50 years. The statistical population included 5 decades of married women who lived in Fars province in 1400-1401. 500 people completed the questionnaires using available sampling method. Data analysis was done through tests using SPSS-26 software. The results of Pearson's correlation coefficients indicated that there is a negative relationship between the variables of the research and the result of the regression analysis generally showed that education can significantly predict the amount of stereotypical beliefs and the results of Manova's statistical test showed that the evolution of beliefs Sexual stereotypes have been declining over the past 50 years. According to the research results, a rethinking of sexual thoughts and taboos can be seen among women. While the level of education and literacy of women has increased significantly over the past 50 years, we have seen a very low increase in women's sexual knowledge.
