Submission Guidelines and Policies

The Journal of Interdisciplinary Women's Studies welcomes submissions from researchers and scholars in the fields of women's studies and related interdisciplinary disciplines. All submitted manuscripts are evaluated based on the journal’s scientific and ethical standards. Full compliance with the following requirements is mandatory for a manuscript to enter the review process.

1. Mandatory Use of the Journal Template

All manuscripts must be prepared according to the official journal template and must strictly follow the required formatting guidelines. The journal template is available for download from the journal’s website.

Manuscripts that do not comply with the specified template requirements will not proceed to the peer review process and may be rejected during the initial editorial screening stage.

2. Mandatory Submission of Research Ethics Documents

At the time of manuscript submission, authors are required to complete and upload the following documents:

• Research Ethics Declaration Form
• Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form
• Copyright and Exclusive Publication Form

These forms are available on the journal’s website and must be completed accurately and submitted together with the manuscript.

3. Requirements for Submitted Manuscripts

Submitted manuscripts must meet the following requirements:

• The manuscript must be an original scientific research article relevant to the interdisciplinary fields of women's studies.
• The manuscript must present original findings and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
• The manuscript must not have been previously published in any form.
• The manuscript must not be simultaneously submitted to another journal.

Duplicate publication and simultaneous submission of a manuscript to multiple journals are strictly prohibited.

4. Compliance with Scientific and Ethical Standards

All manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with accepted principles of research integrity and publication ethics. Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and any form of scientific misconduct.

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring the originality of the manuscript, obtaining approval from all authors, and confirming compliance with the journal’s ethical requirements.

Research Ethics Approval Requirement

Manuscripts involving data collected directly from human participants—including questionnaires, interviews, surveys, observations, or other human data collection methods—must have obtained ethical approval or an ethics code from the relevant university or institutional ethics committee, even if the study is non-interventional.

The ethics approval code must be clearly stated in the manuscript, and a copy of the official ethics approval document must be submitted during the manuscript submission process.

Manuscripts requiring ethical approval but lacking a valid ethics code will not enter the peer review process.

5. Peer Review Process and Publication Fees

After passing the initial editorial evaluation, manuscripts enter the journal’s double-blind peer review process.

The applicable fees are as follows:

• Peer Review Fee: 250,000 Tomans
• Fast-Track Review Fee (upon author request): 1,000,000 Tomans
• Final Acceptance and Publication Fee: 700,000 Tomans (after final approval)

All fees are processed according to the journal’s publication policies and are collected only at the relevant stage of the publication process.

Open Access Policy

The Journal of Interdisciplinary Women's Studies follows an open access policy. All published articles are freely available to readers worldwide without subscription or access restrictions, ensuring broad dissemination of scientific knowledge.
