The Journal of Interdisciplinary Women's Studies is committed to promoting high-quality scholarly research in the field of women's studies through an interdisciplinary approach. All submitted manuscripts undergo a structured evaluation and publication process consisting of the following stages:
Authors are required to submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Submitted manuscripts must comply with the journal’s Author Guidelines and should be complete in terms of structure, academic content, references, formatting, and ethical requirements.
At this stage, manuscripts are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and/or members of the Editorial Board to assess their relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, compliance with publication ethics, methodological appropriateness, and overall academic quality.
Manuscripts that meet the preliminary requirements are forwarded for external peer review. Manuscripts that do not satisfy the journal’s standards or scope may be rejected at this stage.
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial screening are evaluated by at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field.
The journal follows a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential. Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and scientifically rigorous evaluations within the designated review period.
Based on the reviewers’ comments and the editorial assessment, manuscripts are classified into one of the following categories:
The final decision, along with reviewers’ comments and required revisions, is communicated to the corresponding author.
When revisions are required, authors must carefully address all comments and submit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. The revised version may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
After final acceptance, the manuscript undergoes scientific and technical editing by the editorial team. The article is then prepared for publication in one of the forthcoming issues of the journal.
Manuscripts involving data collected directly from human participants—including questionnaires, surveys, interviews, observations, or other human-subject research methods—must have obtained ethical approval from a recognized university or institutional ethics committee, even when the study is non-interventional.
The ethics approval code must be clearly stated in the manuscript, and a copy of the official approval document must be submitted during the manuscript submission process.
Manuscripts requiring ethical approval but lacking a valid ethics code will not proceed to the peer review stage.
The Journal of Interdisciplinary Women's Studies follows an open access policy, and all published articles are freely available to readers worldwide without subscription or access restrictions.
