        <p>In the last decade, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) has evolved from a movement disorder to a complex disease that involves various factors, especially in women. Some of these factors include increased sensitivity in the internal organs. changes in the relationship between the intestinal nervous system and the central nervous system, as well as psychological and social factors. There is increasing evidence that a history of abuse and stressful life events play a role in the development of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Studies have explained the clustering of IBS with social learning mechanisms or genetic factors. This review study focuses on female patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and, based on the biological-psychological-social model, examines health beliefs, exercise, stressors, and environmental factors.</p> Manuscript profile
