Abstract This study aims to identify the causes of alcohol addiction and examine its effects on the academic performance and mental health of female students. The research analyzes various contributing factors such as family problems, peer pressure, psychological issues, easy access to alcohol, and economic difficulties, and investigates their impact on the educational and psychological behaviors of female students. The sample consisted of 300 female high school students in Shiraz. The results showed that the most significant causes of alcohol consumption among this group were family problems and peer pressure. Moreover, alcohol use had considerable negative effects on students’ academic performance and mental health, particularly in areas such as depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders. Ultimately, this study emphasizes the necessity of educational and counseling interventions to prevent alcohol addiction and reduce its adverse effects on the academic and psychological well-being of female students.

Abstract This study aimed to predict internalizing and externalizing behavioral problems in children based on empathy, family communication processes, and mothers’ early maladaptive schemas. The research design was descriptive and correlational. The statistical population consisted of all elementary school children in Yasuj city during the 2022-2023 academic year, along with their mothers. A sample of 361 individuals was selected through multistage cluster random sampling. Data were collected using the Fitzpatrick and Ritchie (1994) Family Communication Patterns Questionnaire, Young’s Schema Questionnaire (YSQ), and Achenbach’s Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL). The participants’ scores were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis via SPSS-24 software. The results of the Pearson correlation showed a significant positive correlation between the conformity subscale and internalizing and externalizing behavioral problems, and a significant negative correlation between the conversation subscale and internalizing and externalizing behavioral problems. Additionally, a significant positive correlation was found between the components of early maladaptive schemas (including disconnection/rejection, impaired autonomy/performance, impaired limits, other-directedness, and over-vigilance/inhibition) and internalizing and externalizing behavioral problems. The findings indicated that the conformity subscale and the components of early maladaptive schemas could positively predict internalizing and externalizing behavioral problems in children. These findings can be applied in the etiology of behavioral problems and the development of preventive strategies.

Abstract The present study aims to examine the relationship between customer service and customer satisfaction on brand popularity and brand reputation in the online women’s clothing retail industry, as well as their role in corporate governance. In the competitive environment of online markets, the quality of customer service and the level of customer satisfaction are regarded as key factors in creating a positive brand image and enhancing brand popularity. This research adopts a descriptive-analytical approach, and data were collected through questionnaires. The Customer Service Questionnaire, based on the standardized tool developed by Albert Caruana (2002), consists of 16 five-point Likert-scale items with confirmed validity. The Customer Satisfaction Scale employs the CSS model by Faull and Ferguson (2013) with a Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient of 0.76. Furthermore, the Brand Popularity Questionnaire uses 10 items adapted from Carroll and Ahuvia (2006), demonstrating acceptable validity and reliability.Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software (version 25). The findings indicate that high-quality customer service and improved customer satisfaction have a significant and positive impact on brand popularity and brand reputation. These results highlight the importance of effective customer relationship management and the implementation of targeted customer service strategies within the framework of corporate governance. The study provides practical insights for managers, marketers, and branding specialists to strengthen brand positioning in online markets.

Abstract According to recent statistics, at least 20 percent of men have committed infidelity at least once during their marriage. However, determining the prevalence rate of infidelity in Iran is not possible due to its taboo nature. Despite infidelity being the most painful violation in the marital bond, its prevalence has increased in recent decades. The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of emotion-focused therapy on distress tolerance in women affected by infidelity. This research, in terms of its objective, is an applied study, and in terms of its methodology, it is a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test and post-test design without a control group. The data collection tools in this study were the Distress Tolerance Scale by Simmons and Gaher (2005) and the Standard Marital Infidelity Questionnaire by Yenisari and Kokdemir (2006). Based on the study design, the sample consisted of 8 women affected by infidelity, who were purposefully selected according to the research criteria and were placed in the treatment group. They responded to the questionnaires in two stages: pre-test and post-test. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson correlation coefficient test in SPSS software at two levels: descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of this study showed that emotion-focused therapy can significantly reduce emotional distress in women affected by infidelity. Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that emotion-focused therapy is effective in increasing emotional distress tolerance.

Abstract The role of women in preventing the spread of deviant social behaviors is regarded as one of the fundamental components in promoting the cultural and moral well-being of society. The present study, conducted with the aim of examining the theoretical, historical, and practical dimensions of this role from the perspective of religious teachings, employed a qualitative, review–analytical method to analyze Islamic sources, previous studies, and propose practical strategies. At the outset, the concept of social deviance and the factors contributing to its emergence were clarified from the viewpoints of sociology, psychology, and religious studies. Subsequently, through the examination of religious foundations and concepts—such as the role of women in nurturing future generations, their social functions, and their position in Islam—the capacities of women in the prevention of social harms were analyzed. The review of domestic and international studies revealed that strengthening religious beliefs, family support, and the active social participation of women have a significant impact in reducing deviant behaviors such as violence, addiction, family disintegration, and youth identity crises. Furthermore, by investigating exemplary figures from Islamic history such as Lady Fatimah, Lady Zaynab, and contemporary intellectual women, the effective agency of women in managing moral and social crises was underscored. In the final section, strategies were proposed on three levels—educational, cultural, and institutional—that may strengthen the role of women in curbing social deviance. The findings conclude that women, in the religious framework, are not only the cornerstone of family stability but also active agents of social transformation. Therefore, the purposeful utilization of women’s intellectual, moral, and educational capacities offers an effective pathway in preventing the spread of social harms in society.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of mindfulness-based couple therapy on sexual satisfaction and self-differentiation among women affected by infidelity. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test, post-test, and control group. The statistical population included women affected by infidelity in Isfahan during the third quarter of 2023. A sample of 30 participants was selected through purposive sampling from the available population and assigned to experimental and control groups. Data were collected using the Larson Sexual Satisfaction Questionnaire (1998) and the Drake and Murdock Self-Differentiation Questionnaire (2015). The mindfulness-based couple therapy intervention was conducted in accordance with Gerhart’s (2012) protocol over nine 90-minute sessions for the experimental group. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA). The results showed that mindfulness-based couple therapy had a significant effect on sexual satisfaction (P<0.05) and self-differentiation (P<0.05). These findings suggest that mindfulness-based couple therapy can be an effective intervention for enhancing sexual satisfaction and strengthening self-differentiation among women affected by infidelity.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to examine in depth the jurisprudential and legal dimensions of online marriages and related contracts, with a special emphasis on women's rights. The necessity of conducting this research arose from the fact that, in the era of modern technologies and the expansion of social relations in virtual space, the issue of online marriage has gained significant importance as an emerging phenomenon in legal and jurisprudential systems. The present research was carried out using a descriptive-analytical method, and the data were collected through the study and analysis of reliable jurisprudential, legal, and social sources. The research population included classical jurisprudential texts, the domestic laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as international documents and regulations related to marriage contracts and associated agreements, which were examined with a comparative and analytical approach. The findings of the study showed that, from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence, the realization of the will and consent of the parties, valid digital identity verification, the presence and validity of witnesses in the virtual space, and the possibility of official registration of the marriage are among the most important jurisprudential challenges of online marriage. From the legal aspect, the results also showed that the lack of comprehensive and explicit regulations regarding online marriage contracts, the difficulty of proving the official nature of the marriage in courts, the incompatibility of e-commerce regulations with the special nature of marriage, and the lack of sufficient enforcement guarantees for the conditions stipulated within the contract are considered among the main obstacles to the proper implementation of this type of marriage. The analysis of the data indicated that these gaps and challenges, in particular, place women more than other groups at risk of legal, social, and even cultural harm and can seriously threaten their legal security and social status. In general, the results of this research emphasize the necessity of reviewing and developing new jurisprudential and legal regulations appropriate to the new conditions of virtual space and the phenomenon of online marriage. It is also suggested that, alongside the reform and adoption of laws, educational, judicial, and social support for women should be strengthened so that they face greater security and fewer harms in the process of online marriages. This research can be used as a preliminary step for lawmakers, jurists, and social policymakers to reconsider traditional frameworks and adapt them to the needs of today’s society.
